Hometown Hunger Hero (HHH) participants goal is to help feed those in need. Food insecurity is a problem for many in our community.
Participants will collect donations will be split evenly among our three (3) local food pantries located at Pleasant Grove Center, Wendell Baptist Church, and Wendell United Methodist Church.

Ideas used in the past to raise money include lemonade stand, extra chores at home or neighbors, social media, ask a local business to put a collection box at the register; be creative and let’s see what our young philanthropists come up with!

PIZZA PARTY (turn in money) WHEN: September, date will be announced later. drop off for donations collected. WHERE: Wendell Baptist Church Hall WHO: for our participants and parents TIME: 5:30-7 pm Pizza party, we confirm when and where to be on Saturday.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1 - Wendell Harvest Festival
The Harvest Festival Parade line up at 9:30 am, parade starts at 10am.
Immediately following the parade is the WELCOME at the Town Square.
Following the welcome, all Hometown Hunger Heroes will take the stage
